What is Skirmish?

“Skirmish” is a weekly tournament where the game in play is rotated. A quick-fire tournament is hosted with one winner standing who claims the entire prize. Skirmish events are open to players of all skill levels and are for fun, grassroots community play and should not be mistaken for Pro League which is a separate event. The prizes for skirmish are purposely modest, with no buy-ins. Pro Leagues will be for high-level play with larger prize pools.

What games are in the Skirmish pool?

To begin with, the following games will be in weekly rotation:

  • Overwatch
  • Hearthstone
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • League of Legends

We will add the following games in the near future or when possible:

  • Fortnite
  • Rocket League

When does Skirmish take place?

Skirmish will take place every Sunday evening from 19:00 as a first match start time.

What format is Skirmish?

In general, Skirmish will be a Double elimination best of one the whole way through. Be sure to check the skirmish page for each game as formats may be adjusted based on feedback. Some games may have a maximum allowed number of signups in order to facilitate same day completion of the tournament. Keep in mind, Skirmish is designed for grassroots, fun play. Higher level competition in our Pro Leagues will feature longer, more robust formats.

What is the prize for the winner of Skirmish?

No matter the game, the prize pot for each skirmish is the same – €100. That goes to the winning team or player depending on the game. i.e. League of Legends has 5 players on a winning team, the pool is €100. Hearthstone has 1 player on a winning team, the pool is €100.

How do I sign up?

The first thing every player on any team, for any game, needs to do is register an account on this website. This is important for tracking payouts, competitive sanction, eliminating smurfing and accounting sharing. You may already have an account setup from previous shop purchases. You can register/login at this link.

Once you have an account on this website, you can pick your game from the home page which will have specific instructions on how you and your team can enter. Please note that players who do not have a RAID website account will be not be allowed to play in any Skirmish.
